The limited series SANTOS DUMONT received one Gold and one Bronze Telly Award; Another nine HBO Latin America original productions were also recognized.
MIAMI, FL., May 27, 2020 – Several HBO Latin America productions were awarded at the 41st Annual Telly Awards, which recognizes excellence in video and television. HBO received a total of 14 awards – one Gold, 11 Silver and two Bronze – maintaining its track record of success over the years.
SANTOS DUMONT was recognized with the Gold Telly in the Videography / Cinematography category, as well as a Bronze Telly in the Entertainment category. Set in Brazil and France with a meticulous reconstruction of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the series tells the story of the Brazilian inventor, considered the “father of aviation.”
The original HBO Latin America productions JOINT VENTURE, THE SECRET LIFE OF COUPLES, THE BRONZE GARDEN, PSI, the late-night Mexican talk show CHUMEL WITH CHUMEL TORRES and the Brazilian talk show GREG NEWS WITH GREGÓRIO DUVIVIER, as well as the Brazilian co-productions REFAVELA 40 and BABEL SP, were awarded with Silver Telly Awards.
The Brazilian docu-series CLUBVERSIÓN LATINO was recognized with a Bronze Telly.
