About

MY HEART GOES BOOM! follows the story of María (Ingrid García-Jonsson), a young and fun-loving dancer who, at the beginning of the 1970s, runs away from her wedding in Italy, and longing for freedom returns to Spain in order to be herself. At this time, Spain was marked by strictness and censorship, especially on television. Together with her, we will discover how even the most difficult of dreams can become reality.

The soundtrack to this musical is composed of the songs by the Italian “queen”, Raffaella Carrá, whose best tracks infuse the fictional tale with color.

Directed by Nacho Álvarez, a fan of Rafaella from Uruguay, he seeks to bring out the stories behind the songs. With this as a starting point, MY HEART GOES BOOM! has a cast led by Ingrid García-Jonsson, Verónica Echegui and Fernando Guallar, and includes special collaboration by Fernando Tejero, Pedro Casablanc, Carlos Hipólito and participation by Natalia Millán
