FROM THE THEATRE TO YOUR HOME: THE SUICIDE SQUAD is part of HBO Max’s offerings aimed at making Warner Bros. films available, at no additional cost, only 35 days after their release in theatres in Latin American.
On September 12, the DC Universe’s most dangerous team of supervillains arrives at HBO Max in: THE SUICIDE SQUAD. One of the most anticipated and awaited films of this year becomes part of the DC content catalog made available on the platform for fans to enjoy a new mission carried out by these anti-heroes filled with adventure, cynicism and fun.
In THE SUICIDE SQUAD, acclaimed director James Gunn welcomes fans to the closest thing to hell: Belle Reve prison, which has the highest mortality rate in the United States and which houses the worst supervillains, who are determined to do whatever it takes to get out, even joining the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X.
What is the mission this time? Bringing together a group of convicts, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psychopath, Harley Quinn; arming them to the teeth and setting them loose on the remote island of Corto Maltese, which is filled with enemies. Crossing the jungle full of adversaries and guerilla forces, the Squad is on a search and destruction mission, where Colonel Rick Flag is the only person there on-site who can force them to behave...and Amanda Waller’s government employees are in their ears, tracking their every move. And, as always, at the first misstep they will be killed – whether it be at the hands of their opponents, by a member of their own team or by Waller herself. If someone were taking bets, the smart play would be to bet against all of them.
THE SUICIDE SQUAD was written by James Gunn. It stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis and includes participation from Sylvester Stallone, among other talented actors.
